Remember to be patient with yourself.
It’s easy to get busy with the other areas of your business. Then tax time rolls around and you realize you need to catch up.
We all do it, I even do it. 🙂
Here are a few tips:
1. Take Notes: Through out the year make little notes, “reminders” of whats happened.
Example, photo copy your customer checks and deposit slips. If you deposit through the ATM and get a bank receipt, select the one that allows you a copy of the check. If you don’t have that feature, write who paid you on the receipt.
2. Be Consistent: Try to enter all your income and expenses each month when you receive your Bank Statement.
3. Verify: Don’t forget to reconcile your credit cards, bank accounts and loans monthly.
