I know how it feels, because I have been there
Years ago I took over the bookkeeping for our family trucking business. The invoices went out, the bills got paid, and the reports looked finished. But the numbers were wrong, and nobody had ever taught me how to tell.
So I dug in. I learned how QuickBooks actually works, found the mistakes sitting quietly in our file, and cleaned it up. We could finally see where the money was really going, the business became more profitable, and we got our time back.
That is the whole reason I teach. Not so you can pass an accounting exam, but so you can look at your own numbers and know they are right.

A little about me
After a house fire when I was young, my mom let me pick one toy at the store, and I chose a cash register. It still makes me smile every time I see one.
I have been married to my best friend since we were teenagers, and we have two boys, Logan and Oliver. We moved away for a while and then came back to my hometown, where we live in the country surrounded by trees and mountains.
In 2008 my husband and I sat down with our own QuickBooks file, made a few key adjustments, and it changed everything. That is when it clicked that your numbers are not just for tax time, they are how you make the decisions that change your family’s life.
My mission is simple: fewer people feeling confused by their own numbers.
